| Abstract: | The delay of processing multimedia data may be reduced by assigning high priorities to those processes. This requires a method for the control of the behavior of multimedia applications in order to avoid an extreme slowing down of the system or a loss of the interactive capabilities. The presented method doesn't require the modification of the operating systems or the application and only produces very few overhead. While aiming on non CPU intensive applications, examples show that even video decoding can be run safely with the supoort of this method. |
