| Abstract: | With Web services and Grid services being deployed on a larger scale, users as well as service providers often encounter the problem of software components needed to be installed before accessing or invoking a service. Autonomous computing includes system architectures where those software components can automatically be found and seamlessly integrated. A dedicated software deployment service accessible by all entities of a service oriented software architecture helps performing automatic software installation and update, moving a step closer to autonomous computing environments. This paper introduces such a deployment service and outlines an initial model of the work in progress. |
